    Who To Contact

Adorned in Grace

Would you like to make a difference in the lives of teen girls who need healthy mentors & a reminder that they are loved?

We invite you to serve in preparation for or at the April 1st, 2017 Dress for FREEdom. This year's theme will be "Upside Down," playing off 1 Corinthians 1:26-31.Please take the time to prayerfully consider how and where God might use you in a way that stretches your faith and displays your compassion. We firmly believe that transformation will take place in the lives of the girls who are served and in the volunteers who serve them.

Support POLE Gems!

    Who To Contact

POLE Gems mission is to support, empower, and equip people working in all facets of adult entertainment, and victims of sex trafficking, to live healthy, flourishing lives. Here are some of their needs in the coming year:

1. Sponsor counseling sessions for the girls they support. $50 - $70 a session (a greatly reduced rate) is the cost.

2. Join their volunteer team visiting clubs and building relationships with women!

3. Help build church partnerships! POLE Gems specifically needs a person who is gifted at public speaking with a passion for this ministry to reach out to churches, find more safe churches, as well as some churches willing to sponsor gifts for those at individual clubs.

4. If you know someone who is gifted at fundraising, and has a heart to help those who may be vulnerable and exploited, please send them this way! "Our full time work takes us from this important volunteer work, so it’s hard for all of us to handle our normal jobs, lives, job roles at POLE Gems and on top of that organize and coordinate fundraisers, marketing, email campaigns and social media. We have a few people doing everything and could sure use more help and specialized volunteers."

If any of these opportunities interest you, check out their website or contact them for more information.

Local Youth Shelter: Wish List

Janus Youth

Harry’s Mothers is a shelter here in Portland that is part of Janus Youth Program. It houses commercially sexually exploited children and supports them in exiting the life of sex trafficking.

We want to provide a way for individuals to immediately, directly, and substantially impact our program and the youth we serve. We have cre-ated an Amazon wish list of items our program and the residents can seldom afford to buy. It ranges from household needs like kitchenware, to things we never have enough of like new bras, or items like a karaoke machine that allows these kiddos to simply be kids and have fun for a day. Thanks in advance to any help or consideration you can give to this cause!

Distribute Freedom Stickers

In Our Backyard

Research has shown that the place a victim of human trafficking is most likely to be alone is inside a restroom stall. These stickers, designed with advice from human trafficking survivors, are to be placed inside the restroom stalls.

With the short text code, BeFree (233733) a victim can text for help and know help is on the way and erase the texts from their phone before leaving the bathroom stall. We believe that by placing these stickers in critical locations lives can be saved here in Oregon and across the nation.

Want to help us distribute Freedom Stickers in your community? Visit our website to learn more!
